On March 16, 2024, the Minister of Healthin Vietnam issued Decision 642/QD-BYT concerning the announcement of administrative procedures in the traditional medicine and pharmacy sector as stipulated in Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

The announcement of 05 new administrative procedures in the traditional medicine and pharmacy sector in Vietnam is as follows:

- Issuance of a herbalist certificate as stipulated for persons specified in Clauses 1, 2, and 3, Article 1 of Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

- Issuance of a herbalist certificate as stipulated for persons specified in Clauses 4, 5, and 6, Article 1 of Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

- Reissuance of a herbalist certificate as stipulated in Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

- Issuance of a certificate of holder of a folk remedy or therapy as stipulated in Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

- Reissuance of a certificate of the holder of a folk remedy or therapy as stipulated in Circular 02/2024/TT-BYT dated March 12, 2024.

Concurrently, 08 abolished administrative procedures include:

- Abolishing 03 central-level administrative procedures as follows:

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 2, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 3, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Reissuance of a herbalist certificate under the authority of the Ministry of Health.

- Abolishing 05 local-level administrative procedures as follows:

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 1, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 4, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Issuance of a herbalist certificate for persons specified in Clause 6, Article 1 of Circular 29/2015/TT-BYT;

+ Reissuance of a herbalist certificate under the authority of the Department of Health.
