Vietnam: Procurators must be assigned to attend 100% of court sessions and meetings as prescribed

According to the Guidance No. 01/HD-VKSTC, the Supreme People's Procuracy guides the whole Branch to focus on implementing key tasks and solutions in the supervision of the settlement of administrative cases, business, commercial, labor and other cases according to provisions of the law in 2021. In particular, for the content of solutions to improve the quality of the procurator's speech at court hearings, in Section 2 of the Guidance No. 01/HD-VKSTC, it is clearly stated that the People's Procuracies at all levels shall assign procurators to participate in 100% of court sessions and meetings in accordance with the provisions of law, focusing on assigning qualified, experienced and brave procurators to participate in court sessions and meetings for administrative and criminal cases, serious and complicated business, commerce, labor, public opinion, or foreign elements.

In order to well perform the work of supervision and improve the quality of the procurator's speech at the court hearing, the procurator should carefully study and master the provisions of the law, the statutes and relevant guidance of the Supreme People's Procuracy, especially the Guidance No. 36/HD-VKSTC dated December 30, 2020 guiding the speech activities of the Procurator when participating in the trial of an administrative case; Decision No. 458/QĐ-VKSTC dated October 04, 2019, Decision No. 363/QĐ-VKSTC dated October 12, 2020, Decision No. 371/QĐ-VKSTC dated October 15, 2020.
