Procedures for reissuing the motor vehicle inspector certificate in of expiry of the validity period in Vietnam

Specifically, the procedures for reissuing the motor vehicle inspector certificate in of expiry of the validity period in Vietnam are carried out according to the regulations in Decision 701/QD-BGTVT as follows:

Within 30 days before the inspector certificate expires, the inspection entity, the inspector shall send a request for the reissuance of the inspector certificate to the Vietnam Register.

The application for reissuing the motor vehicle inspector certificate includes:

- An application form for reissuing the Inspector Certificate;

- A color photo sized 4 cm x 6 cm, in the style of an ID card, taken within 6 months.

The Vietnam Register will receive the application directly, via the postal system, or online.

Within 5 working days from the date of receipt of the request, the Vietnam Register shall notify the schedule of the time and place for conducting the professional assessment of the inspector at the inspection entity.

The assessment time limit shall not exceed 5 working days from the date of notification.

Within 3 working days from the date of assessment, if the requirements are met, the inspector certificate will be issued; if not met, the reasons for the failure will be recorded in the inspector assessment report; the inspection entity, the inspector has the right to request the Vietnam Register to reassess after 1 month from the date of the failed assessment.

In addition to the above procedures, Decision 701/QD-BGTVT also amends several other motor vehicle inspection-related procedures as follows:

- Procedures for issuing the motor vehicle inspector certificate at the central level

- Procedures for reissuing the motor vehicle inspector certificate in case of loss or damage at the central level;

- Procedures for issuing the Certificate of Eligibility for Motor Vehicle Inspection at the local level;

- Procedures for reissuing the Certificate of Eligibility for Motor Vehicle Inspection at the local level.
