The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam requests the People's Committees of provinces and municipalities in Vietnam to direct the organization of receiving reports and accusations and placement of homeless children, disabled people, and elderly in COVID-19 quarantine facilities; afterward, cooperate with medical facilities in the area to check and clarify the health status of the individuals, ensuring they are not infected with SARS-CoV-2 before transferring them to social assistance facilities; immediately coordinate with local medical facilities to implement isolation and treatment measures as regulated if the individuals are infected with SARS-CoV-2.
Simultaneously, verify the identity and circumstances of the individuals to return them to their families and communities; closely cooperate with the local authorities where the individuals reside to implement appropriate social assistance policies; require families and relatives to commit to preventing the recurrence of children, persons with disabilities, and the elderly wandering and begging on the streets and in public places.
