On September 30, 2021, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam has Decision 1740/QD-BGTVT promulgating Temporary Guidance on the organization of passenger transport activities in 5 sectors (road, railway, inland waterway, maritime, aviation).
According to the Decision, passengers when participating in traffic must meet the following requirements:
- For passengers participating in traffic by means of road transport, inland waterways, the route from the shore to the island: comply with the "5K message"; medical declaration according to regulations of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam;
- For passengers travelling by air, rail or maritime transport (except for the route from the shore to the island):
+ Comply with “5K Message”; medical declaration according to regulations of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam;
+ The SARS-CoV-2 test is negative within 72 hours (from the date of receiving the results) by RT-PCR or rapid antigen test. No test is required for people who have received 01 dose of vaccine after 03 weeks or have received the full dose of vaccine or recovered from COVID-19 within 06 months.
In addition, in high-risk localities/regions (Level 3): public transport means of road, railway, inland waterway, maritime are allowed to operate at less than or equal to 50% of capacity (trip/ turns or the number of seats on the vehicle).
