This is a new notable content of the Decree No. 60/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government amending list of narcotic substances and precursors enclosed with the Government’s Decree No. 73/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018 on list of narcotic substances and precursors.
Specifically, according to Clause 1 Article 1 of the Decree No. 60/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, substance No. 398. Opium and opium preparations is moved from List IID to List ID (excluding ethyl esters of iodized fatty acids of poppy seed oil that do not contain opium).
List IID is the list of narcotic substances restricted from analysis, testing, scientific research, criminal investigation or healthcare as regulated by competent authorities. List ID is the list of narcotic substances banned from healthcare and life, the use of which for analysis, testing, scientific research and criminal investigation is subject to permission by competent authorities.
