Vietnam: Newly issue regulation on inspection of forensic psychiatric examination

Recently, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam has issued the Decision No. 5092/QĐ-BYT on the promulgation of the Regulation on examination and assessment of the forensic psychiatric examination, the reception, treatment and management of persons subject to judicial measure of compulsory medical treatment.

Issued together with the Decision No. 5092/QĐ-BYT of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam is the “Regulation on examination and assessment of the forensic psychiatric examination, the reception, treatment and management of persons subject to judicial measure of compulsory medical treatment”.

According to this Regulation, the unit self-checks every six months and one year according to the Transcript issued together with this Decision; The time to close annual data is as prescribed in Circular No. 20/2013/TT-BTP, specifically: Annual report 1st on November 08 every year, official annual report on January 20 every year.

Applicable object:

- Forensic psychiatry organizations;

- Psychiatric hospitals that treat and manage persons subject to the judicial measure of compulsory medical treatment;

- State management agencies and related organizations and individuals.
