Vietnam: New list of sporting weapons/combat gears

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 16/2018/TT-BCA elaborating some articles of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Combat Gears. Enclosed with this Circular is the list of sporting weapons/combat gears.

Specific lists are as follows:

Appendix I: List of sporting weapons, including:

- Types of guns: Explosive bullet rifles, air rifles, explosive bullet pistols, etc.;

- Rudimentary weapons used in practicing and competing in sports such as swords, daggers, spears, etc.;

Appendix II: List of combat gears, including:

- Guns: Guns that shoot rubber bullets, tear gas, explosive bullets, plastic bullets, etc.;

- Means of spraying pepper spray, asphyxiating gas, poisons, anesthetics, and itching substances;

- Smoke grenades, tear gas grenades, explosives;

- Baton;

- Course number 8, spikes, barbed wire, body armor, electric gloves, knife-catching gloves, shields, bulletproof helmets, sound suppression devices;

- Service dog.
