Vietnam: National Archives Insurance Solution, Phase II

On February 10, 2023, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision 71/QD-TTg on approval of tasks and solutions for national archives insurance, phase II.

According to Vietnam's Decision 71/QD-TTg , the national archival insurance solution, phase II, includes:

- Raising awareness and responsibility at all levels about the significance and importance of copying national archival documents.

- Selecting the technology to make copies of archival documents to meet the requirements and purposes of archival document insurance and ensure the inheritance; overcoming the limitations and inadequacies of the document insurance copying technology in phase I (2005 - 2015), in line with the development trend of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

- Collaborating with domestic and international scientific research organizations to assess the suitability of insurance duplication technology for Vietnam's practical conditions.

- Increasing international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of archival document production.

- Training, retaining, transferring technology to make insurance copies of documents.
