Vietnam: Medical facilities must proactively take measures to prevent and control Covid-19

According to the Official Dispatch No. 6030/BYT-KCB, in order to maintain the achievements in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, living safely with Covid-19, implementing the dual goal of fighting the epidemic and developing, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requested Directors of Departments of Health of provinces and central-affiliated cities, the branch health sector, and heads of the units under the Ministry of Health to actively and proactively strictly implement the regulations of the Ministry of Health on:

- Managing the people who come for medical examination and treatment and caregivers at medical examination and treatment facilities through the electronic medical declaration system. Publicizing the notice board of regulations restricting the patient's family;

- Implementing comprehensive care in the Intensive Care Unit, the Infectious Diseases Department and the Department of Critically ill patients;

- Arranging personnels to work at medical examination and treatment facilities to suit the patient's situation, assigning detailed shifts, dividing working groups in rotation;

- Formulating regulations and implementing telemedicine consultation and treatment activities;

- Implementing booking an appointment by phone, on the website;

- Increasing the use of the payment system for medical care expenses via banks, limiting the use of cash. Deploying cash disinfection by ultraviolet rays;
