Vietnam: Measures to stun the animals must be taken before slaughtering livestock
This content is specified in the Law on Animal Husbandry 2018, which was approved by the National Assembly of Vietnam on November 19, 2018.

According to the Law on Animal Husbandry 2018 of Vietnam, in the case of slaughtering livestock, measures to stun the animals must be taken, which shows a humane attitude towards livestock.
Moreover, during the slaughtering process, every slaughter facility must adhere to regulations regarding humane treatment of livestock, specifically as follows:
- Have places for storage of livestock for hygiene assurance purpose; provide sufficient water suitable for the livestock pending slaughter;
- Reduce fear and pain of livestock; not beat or maltreat such livestock;
- Not allow the livestock to witness the slaughter of their fellow-creatures.
