Vietnam: Maximum level of development of the estimated cost of remuneration for participating in scientific conferences

Below is the content of Circular 03/2023/TT-BTC issued by the Minister of Finance of Vietnam on January 10, 2023 stipulating the making, management, use and settlement of state budget funds for performing science and technology tasks.

According to Vietnam's Circular 03/2023/TT-BTC, the maximum level of estimation of remuneration for participation in scientific seminars for research activities in Vietnam is as follows:

- Chairperson: 2,000,000 VND/conference; (Compared with Joint Circular 55/2015/TTLT-BTC-BKHCN, the expenditure increased by 500,000 VND.)

- Secretary of scientific conferences, forums, and seminars: 500,000 VND/session;

- Reporters presenting at scientific seminars, forums, and conferences: 3,000,000 VND per report (up 1,000,000 VND from the current level).

- Scientific report requested by the conference organizer but not presented at the workshop: VND 1,500,000/report; (Expense increased by 500,000 VND.)

- Members participating in scientific seminars, forums, scientific seminars: 300,000 VND/member/session. (Expense increased by 100,000 VND.)

Vietnam's Circular 03/2023/TT-BTC takes effect from February 26, 2023.
