Vietnam: Lottery, betting and casino business operations are temporarily suspended from April 01, 2020

Recently, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch No. 3685/BTC-TCNH on temporary suspension of lottery, betting, prize-winning electronic games and casino business operations.

According to Official Dispatch No. 3685/BTC-TCNH of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam, “lottery, betting, prize-winning electronic games and casino business operations in provinces and central-affiliated cities shall be temporarily suspended within 15 days, from April 01, 2020”.

The Ministry of Finance requests the People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities to carry out state management of lottery, betting, prize-winning electronic games and casino businesses in the area; to direct relevant departments, agencies, lottery companies and betting businesses, prize-winning electronic games and casinos in the area to strictly comply with the temporary suspension of lottery, betting, prize-winning electronic games and casino business activities in accordance with the provisions of law.
