Vietnam: Licenses for industrial precursor chemical export/import shall be extended once

This is a new notable content of the Decree No. 113/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government specifying and providing guidelines for implementation of certain articles of the Law on Chemicals of Vietnam.

According to Decree No. 113/2017/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government, there are new points on the extension of the license for industrial precursor chemical export/import as follows:

- Licenses for industrial precursor chemical export/import shall be extended once;

- At least 5 working days before the license expires, the applicant shall make 1 set of application for extension of the license and send it to the licensing authority;

- The dossier of application for license extension no longer mentions the requirement to be enclosed with the dossier on the import-export situation, purchase, sale and use of the latest import-export license in the year for organizations and individuals importing and exporting group 1 industrial precursors;

- The extension of the license shall not exceed 6 months from the date of granting extension (according to Circular No. 42/2013/TT-BCT, the extension of the license shall not exceed 3 months from the date the organization or individual submits the application for extension).

Decree No. 113/2017/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government officially comes into force from November 25, 2017.
