Vietnam: In 2021, strive to achieve the target of "about 91% of the population participating in health insurance"

On January 19, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Decision 371/QD-BYT on Action Plan for Resolution 01/NQ-CP on the main tasks and solutions for the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimate in 2021.

According to Vietnam's Decision 371/QD-BYT, implementing Resolution 01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2021 on key tasks and solutions to implement the Socio-economic Development Plan on State Budget Estimates in 2021 with motto in 2021 of "Solidarity, discipline, innovation, creativity, aspiration for development.", the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued an Action Plan to implement Resolution 01/NQ-CP. In particular, this plan sets out 2 targets with the following content:

Striving to achieve the main target of the Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021, "The proportion of the population participating in health insurance is about 91%."
Striving to achieve 18 specific targets for the health sector in 2021 as assigned in Resolution 01/NQ-CP dated January 1, 2021 by the Government (details are in Appendix 1 to this Decision).
Contributing to the effective implementation of the above-mentioned targets, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam has also proposed eight main groups of tasks and solutions in Section III of the Plan issued together with Vietnam's Decision 371/QD-BYT.
