Vietnam: Hotels failing to change bath towels upon receipt of new guests shall be fined up to VND 3 million

This is a notable content specified in Decree No. 45/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government on penalties for administrative violations in tourism.

According to Decree No. 45/2019/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, a fine of from VND 1,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following violations:

- Failure to give a notice of improvement of minimum conditions or change of type of tourist accommodation establishment as prescribed;

- Failure to equip beds, mattresses, mats, blankets or cushions as prescribed;

- Failure to furnish face towels or bath towels as prescribed;

- Failure to change bed sheets or mats or blanket covers or cushion covers upon receipt of new guests;

- Failure to change face towels or bath towels upon receipt of new guests.

Concurrently, a fine of from VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for failure to equip a first aid box at a tourist camping as prescribed.

Moreover, a fine of from VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed for toilets not in required conditions as prescribed.
