Recently, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam has issued the Circular No. 110/2020/TT-BCA stipulating the process of collecting fingerprints of applicants for chip-based passports and applicants for entry and exit by automatic control gates.
According to Article 4 of the Circular No. 110/2020/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, the process of collecting fingerprints of applicants for chip-based passports and applicants for entry and exit by automatic control gates is guided as follows:
- Fingerprints collected by specialized scanners are collected as follows:
+ Collect fingerprints of the 4 fingers of the right hand; 4 fingers of the left hand; fingerprints of 2 thumbs; 10-finger rolling fingerprint;
+ If 10 fingerprints cannot be collected, describe and enter information about the status of fingerprints that cannot be collected.
- In case the fingerprints collected in the above sequence do not meet the standards for automatic identification, collect fingerprints by rolling ink, then scan for storage or mining from the Citizen Identity Database (if any) and specifically note in the fingerprint collection record.
Note: The fingerprint collector must note and sign the confirmation, take responsibility for the data of the collected fingerprints or the reason why it cannot be collected.
