Vietnam: Guidelines for appointment and salary ranking of grade IV medical staff
The Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 5032/BYT-TCCB in 2022 elaborating Circular 03/2022/TT-BYT amending regulations on standards for professional titles of medical professionals.

According to Vietnam's Official Dispatch 5032/BYT-TCCB, the guidelines for appointment and salary ranking of grade IV medical staff, for example:
- Public employees who have been recruited and are currently receiving salaries in the ranks of midwifery, public health worker, pharmacist, primary nurse, primary midwife, and primary medical technician (class C employee salary sheet), have attended school, and have a diploma of intermediate, college, or higher level, if they fully meet the following conditions:
Request the Department of Health of Vietnam to urgently appoint a class IV medical officer to the professional title.
This subject is ranked according to the salary list of grade B public employees if they have an intermediate-level diploma or according to the A0 salary table if they have a college degree.
- Public employees who have been appointed and ranked according to their professional titles: Class IV Nurse, Class IV Midwife, Class IV Medical Technician, Class IV Pharmacist, Class IV Population and being ranked according to the salary table of grade B public employees, which has been standardized so far and has a college degree diploma in the right major or group of training majors are:
Eligible to be transferred salary according to the salary coefficient of the A0 employee payroll according to the regulations in Vietnam.
