Vietnam: Guidance on periodic reports made by motorcycle and moped manufacturers and importers from December 15, 2020

Recently, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam has issued Circular 26/2020/TT-BGTVT regarding the amendment and supplementation of certain articles of Circulars regulating the periodic reporting policies in the registrations sector.

From December 15, 2020, motorcycle and moped manufacturers, importers, and traders in Vietnam must submit periodic reports as per the following regulations:

- Report Name: Periodic Report on Energy Labeling;

- Required Content: Report on the number of vehicle models with energy labels; Report on the average fuel consumption within 01 year of each manufacturer/importer;

- Reporting entities: manufacturers, importers;

- Report Receiving Agency: Vietnam Register (VR);

- Methods of Sending and Receiving Reports: Reports can be physical or electronic reports; sent directly, electronically or via postal services or other methods as prescribed by law;

- Deadline for submitting reports: Before January 15 of the following year;

- Report Frequency: Annual periodic reports;

- Time for finalizing report data: From January 01 to December 31 of the reporting year;

- Report Data Template: As per Form No. 04 of the Appendix issued together with Circular 26/2020/TT-BGTVT.
