Vietnam: Duration of use of construction practice certificate

The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam issued Circular No. 24/2016/TT-BXD specifying amendments to a number of articles of Circulars regarding construction projects management.

Duration of use of construction practice certificate specified in Circular No. 17/2016/TT-BXD of the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam is amended as follows:

- If the validity period is specified on the practice certificate, the certificate holder shall be entitled to use it until its expiry date.

- Where the validity period is not specified on the practice certificate, the certificate holder shall be entitled to use it until June 30, 2018 inclusive.

- Since September 01, 2016, entities wishing to renew practice certificates as prescribed above shall follow Clause 3 Article 31 of Circular No. 17/2016/TT-BXD.

- Entities having certificates in construction supervision practice or construction design practice shall be entitled to continue to work in the field of construction quality control up to December 31, 2016 inclusive.

- Entities whose practice certificate expires after March 01, 2016 are entitled to continue to practice up to December 31, 2016 inclusive.
