Vietnam: Changes in fees for appraisal of the practice conditions of bailiffs from March 6, 2021

Below is important content specified in Circular 05/2021/TT-BTC amending Circular 223/2016/TT-BTC prescribing amounts of, regimes for collection, payment, management and use of fees for inspection of standards and conditions for practicing of bailiffs; fees for inspection of conditions for establishment and operation of bailiff offices in Vietnam.

Clause 2, Article 1 of Vietnam's Circular 05/2021/TT-BTC amending Article 4 of Vietnam's Circular 223/2016/TT-BTC stipulates amounts of fees for assessment tests for bailiffs, requesting bailiff appointment, bailiff re-appointment or establishment of bailiff offices. Specifically, there are 05 fee rates as follows (unit: VND/document):

- Fee for inspection of practicing standards and conditions of the bailiff

Appointment of the bailiff

+ Enrollment in the post-probation assessment test of the bailiff: 2,700,000

+ Bailiff appointment: 800,000

Re-appointment of the bailiff: 500,000

- Fee for inspection of conditions for establishment and operation of the bailiff office

Establishment and granting of Certificate of registration for operation of the bailiff office: 1,000,000
Granting of Certificate of registration for operation of the bailiff office in case of any change in the contents of registration for its operation: 500,000

Meanwhile, Vietnam's Circular 223/2016/TT-BTC stipulates only 02 fees: Fee for inspection of practicing standards and conditions of the bailiff (VND 800,000/document) and fee for inspection of conditions for establishment and operation of the bailiff office (1,000,000 VND/document).
