Vietnam: Candidates who do not complete the 1st high school graduation exam can take the 2nd exam

On July 20 2021, Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 3026/BGDĐT-QLCL guiding on organization of the 2nd high school graduation exam in 2021.

According to Official Dispatch No. 2998/BGDĐT-QLCL dated July 16th 2021, subjects of the 2nd high school graduation exam including:

- Candidates are affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, so they have not taken the exam or cannot complete the 1st exam on 7th and 8th July 2021;

- Candidates who have not taken the exam or have taken the exam but are unable to complete the 1st exam due to reasons other than those affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Candidates mentioned above are eligible to take the 2nd the exam if they meet the following conditions:

- Registered for the high school graduation exam in 2021;

- Not being disciplined to suspend the exam in phase 1;

- Do not use the right to special consideration for high school graduation according to Article 37 of the Exam Regulations;

- Only take the exams/subjects that have been registered but have not yet been taken or completed in the 1st phase and save the results of the exams/subjects completed in the 1st phase for use in the 2nd phase.

In case a candidate has not yet taken the exam or has taken the exam but is unable to complete the 1st exam due to reasons other than the one affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, an Application for the 2nd session must clearly state the relevant reason.
