Vietnam: Approving the National Action Program for Children in the 2021 - 2030 period

Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has issued the Decision No. 23/QĐ-TTg on the approval of the National Action Program for Children for the period of 2021-2030.

According to the Decision No. 23/QĐ-TTg, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has approved the National Action Program for Children for the 2021-2030 period with the common goal of ensuring the realization of children's rights and comprehensively developing children to meet the requirements of qualified human resources for socio-economic development and international integration; creating a safe, healthy and friendly environment, contributing to the accomplishment of the goals of the Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030.

In terms of specific goals, in this Decision, 24 targets are divided into 04 target groups, including:

Objective 1: On comprehensive child development, health care and nutrition for children;

Objective 2: On child protection;

Objective 3: Education, culture, entertainment and recreation for children;

Objective 4: On children's participation in children's issues.

To achieve the above goals, the Prime Minister of Vietnam has directed relevant ministries, branches and localities to strictly implement 08 groups of specific tasks.
