Vietnam: Application for re-issuance of judicial assessor's card from February 14, 2021

Circular 11/2020/TT-BTP on the card samples, order and procedures for new issuance and re-issuance of judicial assessor cards in Vietnam which take effect from February 14, 2021.

According to Vietnam's Circular 11/2020/TT-BTP,  a judicial assessor's card will be re-issued in case the issued card is lost, damaged (torn, dirty, blurred), unusable, or if there are changes to the information on the card.

The application for re-issuance of a judicial expert card includes:

  • Application for re-issuance of judicial expert card. If the card is lost or there is a change in the content written on the card, the application for re-issuance of the judicial expert card must be certified by the managing agency or unit;
  • Judicial assessor's card is being used in case there is a change in the information recorded on the card; judicial assessor's card in case the old card is damaged;

  • 02 color portrait photos of size 2cm x 3cm (taken within the last 6 months) of the requester for re-issuance of a judicial expert card.

Heads of units under ministries and ministerial-level agencies that are assigned to act as focal points for general management of judicial expertise and the Director of the Department of Justice shall receive the application for re-grant of the judicial expert card.
