Vietnam: Annulling several business conditions of Decree 77

The Government of Vietnam has just officially approved Decree No. 08/2018/NĐ-CP on amendments to certain Decrees related to business conditions under state management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

A notable content of Decree No. 08/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government is the annulment of certain articles of Decree No. 77/2016/NĐ-CP relating to investment in food business. In particular:

- Point a Clause 1 Article 24 on conditions for investment and trading in food sector;

- Clauses 1, 2, 4 and 6 Article 29 conditions on food preservation in food production;

- Points b, d and dd Clause 2 Article 33 on requirements on preservation and transportation of foods for sale;

- Regulation on food safety conditions to be satisfied by processed milk production establishment;

- Regulation on beer production conditions to be satisfied by beer production establishment (production site; workshop layout and design; waste, wastewater and exhaust gas collection and treatment systems; etc.);

- Regulation on conditions to be satisfied by vegetable oil production establishment.
