Vietnam: Amendments to 14 administrative procedures in the aviation field from March 15, 2021

Recently, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued Decision 280/QD-BGTVT on the announcement of administrative procedures to be amended in the aviation sector under the management function of the Ministry of Transport.

Promulgated together with Vietnam's Decision 280/QD-BGTVT are the administrative procedures in the aviation field under the management function of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam to be amended and supplemented. For example,

Procedures for approval of aviation security programs and regulations; approval of aviation security programs by foreign airlines;
Procedures for issuing airport and aerodrome security control cards with limited validity from the Airport Authority;
Procedures for granting a new license to control airport and aerodrome security with long-term validity from the Airport Authority, airport and aerodrome enterprises;
Procedures for re-issuance of the airport and aerodrome security control license with long-term use value from the Airport Authority, airport enterprises, and aerodromes;
Procedures for granting an airport and aerodrome security license with short-term use value from the Airport Authority, airport and aerodrome enterprises;
Procedures for granting licenses and ratings for aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT);
