Vietnam: Amending requirements applied to gas importers and exporters

This is a notable content mentioned in Decree No. 87/2018/ND-CP dated June 15, 2018 of Vietnam’s Government on gas business.

According to Decree No. 87/2018/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government, requirements applied to gas importers and exporters are as follows:

Every gas importer or exporter must:

+ be an enterprise founded in accordance with provisions of laws;

+ own wharves or enter into a contract for leasing wharves of the Vietnam port system for at least 5 years which have been permitted to be put in use by competent authorities;

+ own gas tanks or enter into a contract of gas tank lease which meets all safety regulations;

+ satisfy all requirements for fire preventing and fire extinguishing in accordance with provisions of laws;

+ own LPG bottles or enter into a contract of leasing LPG bottles eligible to be put on the market (applied to bottled LPG importers and exporters).
