Vietnam: Adjustment of monthly allowances for national defense military personnel

Circular 130/2016/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam guiding the adjustment of monthly allowances for military personnel, and cipher personnel stipulated in Decision 142/2008/QD-TTg, Decision 38/2010/QD-TTg and Decision 62/2011/QD-TTg.

Adjustment levels of allowances are stipulated as follows:

- An additional VND 150,000 per person per month for individuals who are military personnel and cipher workers as specified in this Circular.

- The monthly allowance levels after the adjustment are specifically as follows:

+ From 15 years to less than 16 years, allowance: VND 1,535,000/month;

+ From 16 years to less than 17 years, allowance: VND 1,605,000/month;

+ From 17 years to less than 18 years, allowance: VND 1,674,000/month;

+ From 18 years to less than 19 years, allowance: VND 1,743,000/month;

+ From 19 years to less than 20 years, allowance: VND 1,812,000/month.

Circular 130/2016/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam takes effect from October 25, 2016. The adjusted increase in allowance for the subjects applies from January 1, 2016.
