The Minister of Science and Technology in Vietnam issues Circular 03/2024/TT-BKHCN amending Circular 23/2013/TT-BKHCN regulating measurement of group 2 measuring instruments, which is amended by Circular No. 07/2019/TT-BKHCN.

Addition of instruments to the list of group 2 measuring instruments in Vietnam

An electric vehicle charging power meter is added to the list of group 2 measuring instruments.

The electric vehicle charging power meter includes:

- AC charging power meter for electric cars: The inspection interval is 60 months.

- AC charging power meter for electric cars: The inspection interval is 36 months.

- DC charging power meter for electric cars: The inspection interval is 36 months.

Thus, according to the new regulations in Circular 03/2024/TT-BKHCN, the list of group 2 measuring instruments in Vietnam will include 69 instruments.

Group 2 measuring instruments are used for quantifying goods and services in transactions, ensuring safety, protecting public health, environmental protection, inspection, judicial assessment, and other public activities controlled according to the current Vietnamese metrological regulations.
