Vietnam: 7 days of concentrated isolation for entrants who have full doses of the COVID-19 vaccine

On June 25, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued ​Decision 3092/QD-BYT on pilot implementation of "Guidance on covid-19 quarantine for entrants" in Vietnam.

According to the Decision, pilot implementation of "Guidance on covid-19 quarantine for entrants in Vietnam" in Quang Ninh province (Duration: From July 1, 2021 to July 31, 2021).

Specifically, the medical isolation period for people on entry in Vietnam is implemented as follows:

- 07 days of concentrated medical isolation for those who fully meet the following conditions:

+ To receive the full dose of the vaccine or recover from COVID-19

+ To have a negative RT-PCR test result for SARS-CoV-2 and a positive anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody test on the first day after entry;

- 14-day concentrated medical isolation for the remaining subjects.

Regarding the medical isolation location:

- Concentrated medical isolation at hotels, motels, and resorts (hereinafter referred to as "hotels"), where people on entry voluntarily pay all expenses.

- Medical isolation at a centralized medical isolation facility managed by the military of Vietnam.
