Vietnam: 5 key tasks in clerical and archival work in 2021

This is an important content of the Official Dispatch No. 6679/BNV-VTLTNN dated December 18, 2020 on guidelines for central agencies and organizations, People's Committees of central-affiliated provinces and cities, to develop plans for clerical and archival work in 2021 in Vietnam.

According to the Official Dispatch No. 6679/BNV-VTLTNN, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam requires ministries, branches, People's Committees of central-affiliated provinces and cities, corporations and state economic groups to focus on managing and directing the implementation of 05 key tasks in clerical and archival work in 2021. Specifically:

- Arrange the organizational apparatus for clerical work and archiving according to the provisions of law;

- Completing the electronic document management system according to Decree No. 30/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government and other relevant regulations;

- Formulating and perfecting an electronic document management system at agencies and localities to ensure the performance of tasks of archiving, extracting, submitting, and storing records and documents with a term of permanent preservation into the historical archives;

- Digitize archives, submit documents and integrate data according to the roadmap in Decision No. 458/QĐ-TTg;

- Training and fostering officials and public employees to meet the professional requirements of electronic records and archives of agencies and organizations.
