Vietnam: 30% reduction in fees for mining and use of environmental data and collection from May 26, 2020

Recently, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 22/2020/TT-BTC on fees for mining and use of environmental data and collection, transfer, management and use thereof.

Fees for mining and use of environmental data are provided in the Schedule of fees promulgated together with Circular No. 22/2020/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam shall apply from May 26, 2020. In particular:

- Documents: environmental quality management; waste management and environmental improvement; biodiversity conservation; environmental communication; management of river basin, coastal and marine environment: VND 800,000/report;

- Reports (period/year) on monitoring of: ambient air; surface water (rivers, lakes); coastal water; rainwater; underground water; sediments (river, seawater); soil environment: VND 800,000/report;

- Monitoring networks map at 1:250,000 scale: VND 4,000,000/piece;

- …

However, fees for mining and use of environmental data that are effective from May 26, 2020 to December 21, 2020 inclusive are 70% of those specified in the Schedule of fees promulgated together with this Circular.
