Vietnam: 04 cases in which the violating organizations and individuals are not assigned to store and preserve traffic vehicles from May 01, 2020

Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 31/2020/NĐ-CP on amendments to Decree No. 115/2013/NĐ-CP on management and preservation of exhibits and vehicles of administrative violations seized or confiscated according to administrative procedures.

Decree No. 31/2020/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government has amended and supplemented regulations on assigning traffic vehicles committing administrative violations to organizations and individuals that commit the violations that were formerly prescribed in Decree No. 115/2013/NĐ-CP. Specifically, according to Decree No. 31/2020/NĐ-CP, cases in which organizations and individuals that commit the violations are not assigned to store and preserve the violations include:

- Traffic vehicles involved in the violations are evidence of a criminal case;

- Traffic vehicles are used for illegal street racing, resisting law enforcement officers, causing public disorder or traffic accidents;

- Vehicle registrations are fabricated or falsified;

- Fabricated license plates, illegally changed chassis number, engine number or erased chassis number, engine number.
