According to Decision 33/2016/QD-TTg on the Regulation on the provision and use of electronic customs declaration information, the provision and use of electronic customs declaration information are implemented as follows:

- The party using information accesses the Customs Information Portal with an account provided by the General Department of Customs to use electronic customs declaration information in electronic document format;- The party using information connects their information system with the Customs Information Portal to use electronic customs declaration information in electronic data format;- The inspecting authority uses the electronic customs declaration information via messages provided by the General Department of Customs through officially published phone numbers.

Simultaneously, within no more than 01 minute from receiving the request, the Customs Information Portal shall respond to the information user with the following contents:

- Electronic customs declaration information; or- Notification of reasons in case the system encounters an issue or there is no electronic customs declaration information.

Decision 33/2016/QD-TTg takes effect from October 15, 2016.
