Recently, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 877/BGTVT-VT 2021 on continuing to deploy Directive 05/CT-TTg dated January 28, 2021 of the Prime Minister on urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.
According to Vietnam's Official Dispatch 877/BGTVT-VT, the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam requires that from 00:00 on January 30, 2021, agencies and units implement a number of content on transport activities, specifically as follows:
- For intra-provincial transportation in Vietnam: the chairman of the People's Committees of the provinces, based on the actual situation of the province's COVID-19 epidemic (or the area within the province), shall decide whether to stop, extend, postpone, or adjust the frequency of transport activities throughout the province (or within the province) for fixed passenger transport routes within the province, transportation activities of contract vehicles, tourist cars, taxis, and buses within the province, except for cases of official duty or absolutely necessary. Limit the activities of personal vehicles as much as possible. Ensure the smooth operation of transportation of goods and production materials.
- For inter-provincial transport in Vietnam: The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, based on the actual situation of the province's COVID-19 epidemic, decides to stop, extend, postpone, and adjust the frequency of transportation activities of fixed inter-provincial passenger transport routes, transportation activities of contract vehicles, tourist cars, taxis, etc.
