The Prime Minister of Vietnam has just issued an urgent document 969/TTg-KGVX dated July 17, 2021, regarding the implementation of social distancing to prevent and control the pandemic in certain localities in Vietnam.
The Prime Minister of Vietnam agreed to apply social distancing measures throughout the entire province or city in accordance with Directive 16/CT-TTg for the following localities: in addition to Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai (already implemented), the following areas in Vietnam are added:
Can Tho City and the provinces of:
Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Long An, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Ben Tre, Hau Giang, An Giang, Bac Lieu, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Ca Mau, Kien Giang.
Social distancing period is 14 days.
The starting time for social distancing in the added provinces and cities shall be decided by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, but no later than 0:00 on July 19, 2021.
For provinces and cities in Vietnam that have been applying social distancing measures prior to the date of this document, based on the development of the pandemic and the results of disease prevention and control in the area, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee shall proactively and promptly report to the competent authority before deciding to continue the social distancing period as previously decided or to extend the social distancing period as mentioned for the added provinces above.
