Urgent request to complete the report for the Politburo on salary reform in Vietnam

Under Resolution 82/NQ-CP dated June 5, 2024, regarding the regular Government of Vietnam meeting for May 2024, there is an assignment for the ministries to promptly finalize the report to the Politburo on salary reform.

Urgent request to complete the report for the Politburo on salary reform in Vietnam 

The Government of Vietnam assigns the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam to take the lead and cooperate with the Ministries of Finance, Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs to urgently complete the report dossier to the Politburo regarding wage policy reform, pension adjustments, social insurance benefits, preferential treatment for those who have made contributions to the revolution, and social subsidies.

Propose to implement wage reform with a suitable, feasible, and effective roadmap; ensure fairness, equality, and harmony among different groups, and maintain stability without causing major disruptions.

Additionally, the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam is tasked with continuing to urge localities to urgently complete and submit the dossier to the Government of Vietnam regarding the project to restructure administrative units at district and communal levels; urgently verify the proposals from localities and support the activities of the members of the Steering Committee for restructuring administrative units at the district and communal levels for the period 2023 - 2030 according to the assigned regions.

Compile the difficulties and obstacles, promptly guide within the authority or propose to the central ministries and agencies for resolution according to assigned functions and duties; in cases beyond authority, report to the Prime Minister of Vietnam.

Guide localities to streamline the organizational structure and resolve redundancies concerning officials, public employees, and workers in agencies, organizations, and units in newly formed district and communal administrative units according to the current regulations.

The Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam urgently completes the dossier and submits it to the Prime Minister of Vietnam for issuing a Decision on the Implementation Plan for the Emulation Movement to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses Nationwide from now until the year 2025.

Ensure the proper implementation of policies guaranteeing freedom of belief and religion, and the principles and policies regarding religion of the Communist Party and the State; avoid loopholes in management and handling of religious issues, and prevent malevolent forces from exploiting, slandering, and distorting the situation.
