Urgent: Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests support for Hai Duong's health sector in the fight against COVID-19

According to Vietnam's Official Telegram 88/QD-BYT, in order to support Hai Duong province's health sector in epidemiological investigation, zoning, isolation, sampling, and testing for suspected cases, cases of contact with Covid-19 cases in the province, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam-Standing agency of the National Steering Committee for Electricity and proposed to the People's Committee of Hai Duong province and units under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam to implement a number of specific contents as follows:

• Assign the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi Medical University, and the University of Public Health to support Hai Duong province's health sector to carry out COVID-19 testing;

• Assign Hai Duong Medical Technical University and Central College of Pharmacy-Hai Duong to support and coordinate with Hai Duong province's health sector to carry out epidemiological investigation, zoning, and isolation; organize specimen collection to send to units assigned to perform Covid-19 testing;

• Assign the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases to set up a treatment area for COVID-19 patients in Hai Duong province;

• The Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee directs the health sector and related units to coordinate with units under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam to implement.
