Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Directive 35/CT-TTg on taking urgent measures for proactive response to natural disasters.

The Prime Minister of Vietnam has demanded the implementation of certain contents in the Directive on taking urgent measures for proactive response to natural disasters as follows:
- The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Management, the National Committee for Incident and Disaster Response, Search and Rescue, ministries and central authorities, CPV committees, and local authorities are to focus on leading, directing, and strictly implementing Directive 42-CT/TW from the Secretariat;
- People's Committees of provinces and municipalities are to closely monitor the developments of natural disasters, promptly direct and implement natural disaster management, and remediation of consequences of natural disasters within their areas according to the "four-on-the-spot" principle; direct a comprehensive inspection of dangerous areas to proactively assess and ensure safety when natural disasters occur;...;
- The Central Steering Committee and the National Committee for Incident and Disaster Response are to develop a directive plan and urge ministries and localities to review to address incidents;
- The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Television, and other ministries and central authorities are to proactively direct and implement natural disaster management plans according to their management functions;
- ...
Among these, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Management shall monitor, inspect, urge, and compile reports to the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the implementation of this Directive.
