Update on the list of permissible plant protection chemicals in Vietnam

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development issued Circular 19/2022/TT-BNNPTNT dated December 2, 2022 on the list of permissible and banned plant protection chemicals in Vietnam.

According to Vietnam Circular 19/2022/TT-BNNPTNT, the list of permissible plant protection chemicals in Vietnam includes:

(1) Chemicals for farming:

- Pesticides: 689 active ingredients with 1670 trade names.

(Currently, according to Circular, there are 660 active ingredients with 1563 trade names).

- Fungicides: 651 active ingredients with 1492 trade names.

(Currently, 617 active ingredients with 1377 trade names).

- Herbicides: 256 active ingredients with 765 trade names.

(Currently, 245 active ingredients with 698 trade names).

- Rodenticides: 8 active ingredients with 37 trade names.

(Currently, 9 active ingredients with 36 trade names).

- Plant-growth regulators: 58 active ingredients with 172 trade names.

(Currently, 53 active ingredients with 158 trade names).

- Pheromones: 8 active ingredients with 8 trade names.

- Snailicides: 31 active ingredients with 152 trade names.

- Supporting chemicals: 5 active ingredients with 6 trade names.

(2) Termiticdes: 14 active ingredients with 21 trade names.

(Currently, 20 trade names).

(3) Forest product preservatives: 7 active ingredients with 8 trade names.

(4) Storage disinfectant: 3 active ingredients with 9 trade names.

(5) Chemicals for golf courses:

- Fungicides: 2 active ingredients with 2 trade names.

- Herbicides: 1 active ingredients with 1 trade names.

- Plant-growth regulators: 1 active ingredients with 1 trade names.

(6) Chemicals for seed treatment:

- Pesticides: 10 active ingredients with 16 trade names.

(Currently, 9 active ingredients with 15 trade names).

- Fungicides: 13 active ingredients with 13 trade names.

(Currently, 14 trade names).

(7) Harvested agricultural product preservatives: 01 active ingredients with 01 trade names.

Vietnam's Circular 19/2022/TT-BNNPTNT takes effect from January 16, 2023 and replaces Vietnam's Circular 19/2021/TT-BNNPTNT.
