Upcoming Issuance of 05 Guiding Documents for the 2017 Law on Guard Force

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has just signed Decision 1636/QD-TTG promulgating the Implementation Plan for the Execution of the Law on Guard Force 2017.

The Prime Minister requires the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense to take the lead and coordinate in the development of legal normative documents to implement the Law on Guard Force. Specifically:

- A Decree detailing the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Guard Force, to be submitted to the Government of Vietnam before May 2018;- A Circular detailing the implementation of certain articles of the Law on Guard Force, to be issued before May 15, 2018;- A Circular regulating the form, management, and use of the Special Protection Card for the Guard Force under the Ministry of Public Security and the Guard Force under the Ministry of National Defense, to be issued before May 15, 2018;- A Circular regulating the standards and equipment levels of the Guard Command, to be issued before May 15, 2018;- A Circular specifically regulating the organization, payroll, titles, equipment, and recruitment standards for personnel in the Guard Force under the Ministry of National Defense, to be issued before May 15, 2018.
