This is the key content mentioned in Official Dispatch 1295/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV in 2018 on strengthening the work of ensuring security and safety in schools in Vietnam.
During the recent period, there have been many incidents of insecurity and safety in schools in Vietnam such as students injured by falling plaster, teachers behaving unprofessionally with students, and parents insulting the honor of teachers.
To address the aforementioned situation, the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) of Vietnam requests the People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities to organize inspections and examinations of schools concerning the implementation of a safe and secure educational environment and prevention of school violence. Concurrently:
- Organize and thoroughly disseminate the regular implementation of Decree 80/2017/ND-CP, Directive 18/CT-TTg;
- Organize dialogues and ensure coordination between schools, families, and local authorities in managing, educating students, and building a safe and healthy educational environment;
- Prevent, preempt, and mitigate factors that pose risks to safety.
