Recently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment issued Circular 07/2018/TT-BKHDT regarding guidelines for emulation and commendation activities within the Planning and Investment sector.

The types of commendations for individuals and collectives operating in the Planning and Investment sector are specified as follows:

- Commendations based on merits and achievements are awarded to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements or who have excellently completed assigned tasks;- Periodic commendations are awarded to individuals and collectives with outstanding achievements after a competitive period initiated by the President, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, the Minister, or the Head of the unit;- Unexpected commendations are awarded to collectives and individuals who achieve unexpected accomplishments;- Commendations for continuous contributions are awarded to individuals participating in revolutionary activities, having merits, and outstanding achievements contributing to the revolutionary cause;- Foreign-related commendations are awarded to collectives and foreign individuals contributing to the construction and protection of the Vietnamese Fatherland in various fields.
