Training program according to professional title standards for equipment and laboratory officers in Vietnam

On September 26, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision2774/QĐ-BGDĐT on the training program according to standards for professional titles of equipment and laboratory officers in Vietnam.

Subjects of training

Equipment and experiment officers in Vietnam who have not completed the training program according to professional title standards for equipment and experiment officers working in general education establishments and public specialized schools, including:

- Junior high school;

- Ethnic semi-boarding school at the junior high school level;

- High school;

- Secondary specialized schools;

- Boarding high school for ethnic minorities;

- High schools have many levels of education;

- University preparatory school;

- Schools for people with disabilities have middle and high school levels (collectively referred to as high schools and public specialized schools).

Training objectives

(1) General objectives

Students have the basic knowledge and skills to meet the job position requirements for the occupational title of equipment and laboratory officer.

(2) Specific objectives

After training, students can:

- Understand and implement well the Party's guidelines and policies, State laws, industry, inter-sector, and local regulations and requirements on education in general and equipment and experiments in particular;

- Be aware of the basic knowledge and operations of equipment and experiments; Flexibly and effectively apply knowledge and skills to equipment work and experiments in performing tasks;

- Actively apply and self-improve skills to perform tasks; have the ability to coordinate well with colleagues and teachers to constantly improve the quality and efficiency of equipment and experiments in the school.

Training duration

- Total duration: 160 hours. In there:

+ Theory and practice: 130 periods.

+ Review and discussion: 10 periods.

+ Test: 02 hours.

+ Practical learning (visiting, surveying, listening to extracurricular reports), writing: 16 lessons.

+ Opening and closing lessons: 02 periods.

- Implementation time is 04 weeks x 05 working days/week x 08 periods/day = 160 periods. In the case of arranging intermittent training time to suit the working position of the student, the maximum implementation time is 06 weeks.
