To supplement the regulation on extension of the complaint settlement in the People's Public Security Forces in Vietnam

On May 16, 2022, the Minister of Public Security promulgates the Circular No. 23/2022/TT-BCA regulating authority, order and procedures for handling complaints in People's Public Security Force in Vietnam.

Complaints about party discipline

Of which, supplement the provisions on extension of the settlement of complaints in People's Public Security Force in Vietnam as follows:

- To be entitled to extend the time limit for settling complaints in People's Public Security Force in Vietnam, in case the time limit for settling complaints has expired but the verification of complaint contents has not yet been completed.

- The complaint handler shall make a written decision on the extension of complaint handling under Articles 28, 37 and 50 of the Law on Complaints.

- At the same time, notify the complainant or his/her lawful representative and the complained subject thereof.

Note: The extension is done before the expiration of time limit for complaint settlement.

The Circular No. 23/2022/TT-BCA comes into force from June 30, 2022 and replaces the Circular No. 11/2015/TT-BCA.
