To simplify documents when registering for certification for motorcycles and mopeds in Vietnam

Simplifying documents when registering for certification for motorcycles and mopeds in Vietnam is the content of Circular 16/2022/TT-BGTVT dated June 30, 2022 on the amendments to Circulars in the field of registration.

Specifically,Vietnam's Circular 16/2022/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing Vietnam's Circular 45/2012/TT-BGTVT stipulates the registration documents for motorcycles and mopeds as follows:

- The original of the registration of technical specifications in Appendix III or the electronic form of the registration of technical specifications;

- A certified copy of the facility or an electronic copy of the vehicle test result report of the testing facility;

- The original or electronic version of the explanation of the method and location of the frame number and engine number according to the form in Appendix IV;

- The original or the list of main components used to assemble the vehicle according to the form Appendix V or the electronic form that lists the main components used to assemble the vehicle;

- The original or electronic copy of the manufacturer's commitment on the type of product is checked and certified as not infringing upon the protected industrial property rights.

(Compared to Clause 2, Article 5 of Vietnam's Circular 45/2012/TT-BGTVT, removed documents such as: description of production technology process have been removed; vehicle manual; product warranty card; written certification of eligibility for production and assembly)
