To review and amend 05 codes, laws on transportation for the purpose of green energy transition in Vietnam

Decision 876/QD-TTg dated 22/7/2022 approves the Action Program on green energy transition, deflation carbon and methane emissions of the transportation sector in Vietnam.

Specifically, one of the tasks of the Green Energy Transition Action Program of Vietnam is:

To review and propose amendments to 05 codes, laws on transportation and sub-law documents to promote the transition to using electricity and green energy for transport vehicles and equipment in Vietnam

The roadmap for this task is in the period of 2022-2030.

Currently, 05 codes and laws on transportation in Vietnam include:

- Vietnam Maritime Code;

- Law on road traffic;

- Law on Railway Transport;

- Law on inland waterway navigation;

- Law on Vietnam Civil Aviation.
