To remove requirement of household registration book in the application for registration of archival services from April 24, 2023 in Vietnam

The Minister of Home Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 1/2023/TT-BNV dated 09/3/2023 amending Circular 02/2020/TT-BNV on the management of the hosting practice certificate and the operation of hosting services.

According to Vietnam's Circular 1/2023/TT-BNV, the application for registration of archival services from April 24, 2023 in Vietnam includes:

- A certified copy or submit a copy and present it with the original for comparison of the following papers:

+ Certificate of business registration or Decision of establishment (for organizations).

+ Citizen's identity card or ID card (for independent practitioners).

+ The archival practice certificate of service participants (for organizations).

+ Certificate of archiving practice (for independent practitioners).

- List of archiving practitioners (for organizations).

- Documents proving the facilities, equipment, and working conditions for performing archival service activities in accordance with current law.

(Compared with Vietnam's Circular 02/2020/TT-BNV, the requirement of permanent residence (for independent practitioners) has been removed and replaced by a citizen ID card or ID card.)

Vietnam's Circular 1/2023/TT-BNV takes effect from April 24, 2023.
