To reduce and exempt tuition fee for families having 02 children of the same sex from March 10, 2021 in Vietnam

Below is the remarkable content specified in Circular 01/2021/TT-BYT guiding a number of contents for localities to promulgate reward and support policies for collectives and individuals that well perform population work in Vietnam.

Specifically, in Article 4 of Vietnam's Circular 01/2021/TT-BYT, a number of measures are encouraged to control the sex imbalance at birth as follows:

- For collectives: communes that reach 100% of villages already have content on controlling gender imbalance at birth in the village convention, which is proposed to be rewarded by the district People's Committee once accompanied by financial or in-kind support.

- For individuals: Based on population policy goals and practices, in order to control the sex ratio imbalance at birth, the locality selects and decides on a number of specific content to encourage and support the couple with two children. One party commits not to have more children, such as: honoring and praising the raising of healthy children; teaching good children; doing well in school, and being successful; tuition fee exemption and reduction; support to buy student health insurance; milk support; and other suitable content and forms.
