To reduce administrative procedures to speed up the implementation of social housing projects in Vietnam

The Government of Vietnam approved Resolution 156/NQ-CP dated December 6, 2022 on the regular Government meeting November 2022.

According to Vietnam's Resolution 156/NQ-CP, the government delegated to the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam the implementation of a number of real estate-related contents, such as:

- Assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, and relevant agencies and localities in an overall and clear assessment of supply and demand.
real estate market by segments;

Thoroughly review businesses, real estate projects, houses, and people wishing to buy houses to assess the overall shortage of capital and propose effective, appropriate, and feasible solutions;

Reduced administrative procedures will increase market supply by hastening the implementation of real estate projects, particularly social housing, worker housing, and low-cost commercial housing.

- Investigate and propose amendments to Decree 100/2015/ND-CP on the development and management of social housing as soon as possible, and report to Prime Minister of Vietnam in December 2022.

In addition, the Government also directs credit institutions to urgently consider giving priority to lending to social housing, worker housing, and low-cost commercial housing projects that are effective, capable of repaying debts, and that meet legal requirements.
